Overview
The Payroll Clerk will be will be under the direct supervision of the Assistant Payroll Manager. The Payroll Clerk is responsible for assisting the Assistant Payroll Manager in the overall payroll administration. He/She will assume all duties of the Assistant Payroll Manager in the event of their absence.
Work Schedule
- Requires mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Monday through Friday.
- Request to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, and deductions.
- Process new hire, pay changes, status changes and terminations.
- Transfer payroll data and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.
- Contact various supervisors for any missed times, documents or other payroll items.
- Ability to compile internal management reports utilizing the payroll software.
- Maintain weekly payroll files.
- Run payroll reports weekly/monthly as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Lucky Star Casino Administration.
- Must exhibit STAR treatment to all customers and co-workers.
Physical Job Requirements
- Sit and/or stand continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with lunch break.
- Requires bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, lifting and pulling.
- Move objects up to and exceeding 25lbs. with reasonable accommodations.
- Office environment with some casino floor environment.
Qualification Standards
- One (1) year of Payroll experience preferred
- Proficient at MS Office (especially Excel)
- Basic verbal and written communication skills.
- Must pass pre-employment drug test.
Must maintain valid Cheyenne- Arapaho Gaming License.
