General Description
The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation.
Responsibilities
Install, inspect, and service a variety of units, including furnaces, boilers, chillers, air handlers, and heat pumps.
- Identify and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and control system malfunctions quickly.
- Execute routine maintenance schedules to extend equipment life and prevent downtime.
- Verify airflow, temperature accuracy, and energy efficiency to meet rigorous operating standards.
- Navigate blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Maintain detailed logs of repairs, parts, and work orders.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards
- Handle emergency repair calls and troubleshoot on the fly.
- Maintain a clean workspace and communicate clearly with team members and clients.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED and completion of a certified HVAC technical program (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Deep understanding of advanced refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning principles.
- Proficient in reading schematics and interpreting complex work plans.
- Strong verbal and written communication; a team-player attitude.
- Ability to navigate confined spaces and work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to meet emergency needs.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
