General Description
Supervise and direct employees, plan and assign daily goals, tasks and assignments. The Cage/Vault Supervisor ensures that all cashiers/clerks follow established cash handling procedures. Also, ensures all cashiers/clerks treat customers with prompt, efficient, and courteous customer service.
Work Schedule
- Requires morning, afternoon and evenings. Monday through Sunday.
- Request to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Under the direct supervision of the Cage/Vault Manager.
- Performs cash transactions when needed and is responsible for a bank that must be kept in balance at all times when issued.
- Coordinates scheduling of cashier/clerks.
- Set up beginning banks for all cashiers.
- Prepare bank deposits on scheduled days, and maintain constant communication with staff Accountant to know which accounts to deposit to.
- Verify all money and coupons turned in by all cashiers.
- Audit employee close drawer report in the event of a variance.
- Perform a daily check of vault balances and credit cards at the end of each shift.
- Be available to assist in the event of questions pertaining to Check verification, credit card, coupon redemption, Player’s Club redemption, etc.
- Prepare daily reports as outline by the General Manager.
- Maintain close communication with the General Manager.
- Secure all monies and other items of cash value at the end of each shift.
- All duties are not listed, as this is only an overview of your duties, you will assist in other areas as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Authority & Supervisory Capacity
- Initiate disciplinary action when necessary.
- Schedule employee evaluations.
Physical Job Requirements
- Sit and/or stand continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with lunch break.
- Requires bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, lifting and pulling.
- Move objects up to and exceeding 25lbs. with reasonable accommodations.
- Office environment with some casino floor environment.
Qualification Standards
- Minimum High School Education or GED equivalent combination of training and experience with willingness to obtain training as requested
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years Cash Handling or Banking Experience
- Applicant must possess the ability to communicate well with the general public
- Must have knowledge of accounting principles
- Must have general knowledge of computer/cash register operations
- Must have general knowledge of personal computer software.
- The ability to operate currency and coin counters.
- Must have good dexterity
- Must possess the ability to know when to delegate tasks to subordinates
- Must be bondable.
- Must pass pre-employment drug test.
- Must maintain valid Cheyenne- Arapaho Gaming License.
