Training & Development Specialist to devise our organizational training strategy, oversee its implementation and assess its outcomes. Responsible for identifying training and developmental needs while driving suitable training initiatives that build loyalty to Lucky Star Casino, including a scholarship program. The Training & Development Specialist responsibilities include enhancing the employees’ overall skills, performance, productivity, higher education and quality of work.
Requires mornings, afternoons, and some evenings. Monday through Friday (possible weekends).
Request to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval by supervisor
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate management training.
Coordinates performance appraisal programs.
Administers personnel policies, programs and practices to all management staff and employees.
Must exhibit STAR treatment to all customers and co-workers.
Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers
Implement and oversee the Lucky Star Casino Scholarship program
Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations
Deploy a wide variety of training methods
Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions
Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them
Manage training budget
Provide opportunities for ongoing development
Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary
Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
Maintains a proficient knowledge of all policies and procedures
Must project professionalism and a consistently friendly demeanor
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Physical Job Requirements
Sit and/or stand continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with lunch break.
Move objects up to and exceeding 25lbs. with reasonable accommodations.
Office environment with some casino environment.

Customer Service – Works with management assessing their needs, providing information and assistance, and resolving problems through training programs. Must have very good customer service skills including but not limited to being courteous, friendly, polite, and being able to treat the customer with respect.
Oral Communication – Good verbal communication skills to responsibly interact with other people.
Problem Solving – Ability to resolve conflict and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
Computer Skills- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and familiar with basic computer practices.
Great Customer Service Skills
Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals Good computer and database skills
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must pass pre-employment drug test
Must obtain and maintain a Cheyenne-Arapaho Gaming License
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combined education and experience
