Security Supervisor (shift varies)

General Description
The Security Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Security Manager in administering security department policies, programs and practices: including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, training and direction for all casinos.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- To organize and assign work activities of security personnel.
- To recommend changes in policy and procedures to insure security.
- To prepare proposals for manpower and equipment needs.
- To plan, organize, and coordinate security personnel activities on daily basis.
- To assist customers, personnel investigating criminal violations where this condition arises.
- Other duties as assigned by the general manager.
Authority and Supervision Capacity:
- To supervise all security personnel to insure that the facility is adequately secured.
- To review all disciplinary actions given to employees
- To approve or disapprove any employee request for vacation, sick leave, or leave of absence.
- To ensure all employees are being treated equally
Physical Job Requirements:
- Sit and/or stand continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with lunch break.
- Requires bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling lifting and pulling.
- Move objects up to exceeding 25lbs. with reasonable accommodations.
- Gaming floor environment with some office environment.
Qualification Standards:
- Minimum high school education (prefer some college education).
- Minimum 3 years past experience in security related field.
- Good working knowledge of security equipment.
- Able to communicate well with people both oral and written.
- Good understanding of management practices and internal controls.
- Background in training and instructing.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
- Must pass pre-employment drug test.
- Must obtain and maintain a Cheyenne-Arapaho Gaming License.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
