Human Resources Specialist – File Clerk Clinton

Overview
Under direct supervision of Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Receptionist/File Clerk will be responsible for general clerical, reception and maintaining accuracy of employee personnel files while maintaining confidentiality for Lucky Star Casino locations in Clinton and Hammon, Oklahoma; Hammon C-Store.
Work Schedule
- Requires morning, afternoon and evenings. Monday through Friday.
- Request to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval by manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Must exhibit “Star Treatment” to call customers and co-workers.
- Answer phone and transfer to appropriate staff.
- Meet & greet clients and visitors.
- Maintain security by following Lucky Star Casino policies and procedures; monitor and keep sign-in log.
- Create new employee personnel records as necessary and sort information according to guidelines; including but not limited to content, purpose, user criteria or chronological, alphabetical, or numerical order.
- Answer questions about personnel records and files in accordance with all Lucky Star Casino policy and procedures.
- Find and retrieve information from files in response to employee information requests forms and authorized users.
- Review personnel records yearly to ensure employee records are up to date along with periodic inspections of materials are in correct placement, legibility, and proper condition.
- Remove outdated or unnecessary materials transferring them to inactive storage according to file maintenance guideline and/or legal requirements.
- Archive materials into storage receptacle, such as file cabinets, boxes, bins, or drawers according to classification and identification information.
- Gather materials to be filed from departments and employees.
- Perform general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, and sorting mail.
- Maintain incoming Lucky Star Casino application log.
- Assist with drug screens.
- Accepts and coordinates gaming license application flow to include new/renewal process in accordance to C&A Gaming Commission standards.
- Maintain gaming license applications/files
- All other duties as assigned.
Physical Job Requirements
- Sit and/or stand continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with lunch break.
- Requires bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, lifting and pulling.
- Move objects up to and exceeding 25lbs. with reasonable accommodations.
Qualification Standards
- Must pass pre-employment drug test.
- Minimum of 18 years old for employment, as per Tribal Gaming Ordinance.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Cheyenne and Arapaho Gaming License
- Minimum High School education or GED or equivalent combination of training and experience with willingness to obtain training as requested.
- Must possess the ability to communicate well with general public and peers.
- Must have general knowledge of Microsoft Suite skills or equivalent.
- Must have high organization skills.
- Must have excellent customer service skills
