HR Administrative Assistant

Overview
The Administrative Assistant is under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the administrative support of the Human Resources Department duties, including general clerical, receptionist, and project-based work.
Work Schedule
- Requires morning, afternoon, and evening. Monday through Friday with occasional weekends.
- Request to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval by supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to management staff and the Human Resources Department
- Answer telephones and transfer to the appropriate staff member.
- Meet and greet clients and visitors.
- Retrieve department mail. Draft responses or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary. Run department errands as necessary.
- Types and designs general correspondence and memos. Ensures approval is obtained before distribution.
- Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Accepts and coordinates gaming license application flow to include new/renewal process in accordance with Cheyenne & Arapaho Gaming Commission standards
- Maintain gaming license expiration dates.
- Distribute and intake employment applications.
- Maintain a hard copy and an electronic filing system
- Assist with drug screens.
- Must exhibit STAR treatment to all customers and co-workers.
- Completes HR processes & paperwork, including payroll actions, transfer requests, etc.
- All other duties as assigned.
Physical Job Requirements
- Sit and/or stand continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with a lunch break.
- Requires bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, lifting, and pulling.
- Move objects up to and exceeding 25lbs. with reasonable accommodations.
- Office environment
Qualification Standards
- Must pass pre-employment drug test
- Must maintain a valid Cheyenne and Arapaho Gaming License
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience
- Associate’s Degree or 2 years of Human Resources experience preferred
- Computer literate
- Basic verbal and written communication skills
