Hotel Maintenance Technician FT Shifts Vary

General Description
Provide maintenance upkeep and repair for proper operation of the property. This position will be responsible for the repairs, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and overall operation of all property equipment, mechanical systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and pump systems and all other areas related to the property operation.
Work Schedule
- Requires mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Monday through Sunday.
- Request to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval.
Essential Position Responsibilities:
- Participate in the operation of building maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, electrical components and systems, small engines, HVAC systems and interior repair.
- Daily monitoring of equipment and facility using opening/closing and daily maintenance checklist.
- Review requests for repairs, maintenance, and alteration of property facilities; make recommendations on the technical feasibility of initiating major repair projects; determine priorities; complete work assignments; answer complaints or requests from departmental offices.
- Maintain operation of the property and/or other amenities. Maintain proper records and reporting required by law. Maintain any maintenance certifications, if required by law.
- Know the methods and procedures needed to maintain and effective property preventative maintenance program. Complete Room and Public Space PM’s in organized and effective manner, optimizing all tools at hand, from corporate and/or brand perspective.
- Demonstrate the ability to be a team player with the flexibility necessary to both functions effectively and use hands on techniques to train subordinates and complete tasks when necessary.
- The ability to see the items that need attention and complete them as necessary, without direction.
- Review maintenance activities and improve the effectiveness of the department’s operations and project timelines.
- Prepare and/or maintain work records and reports, complete all necessary checklists. PM records, ect.
- Achieve and maintain effective working relationships with associates, contractors, and the public.
- Exercise significant judgement in resolving problems that arise in normal building operations.
Position Specific Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Learn, maintain and complete repairs on all property equipment and facilities.
- Develop other avenues of skill as necessary to further company growth and success.
- The practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment essential to building, plumbing, carpentry, electronics, painting, heating, and other mechanical trades activities.
- Work safely abiding by all occupational hazards and safety precautions pertaining to all phases of building maintenance.
- The preventive maintenance procedures and practices for room, building, mechanical, and construction equipment.
- Must be well versed in all local, state and federal laws that are applicable to the maintenance operation of the property, including OSHA.
- Act with sense of urgency and ownership for all work requests.
- Ability to participate and successfully complete brand required training and certifications necessary for the Maintenance department within the designated time period.
- Must maintain valid Cheyenne and Arapaho Gaming Permit.
Physical, Schedule and Work-Related Requirements:
- Availability to work on all shifts, during the normal operating hours of the property.
- Be available “on-call”, in peak season, on an as-needed basis to ensure a consistent and continuous flow of the operation, avoiding down times and/or potential revenue loss.
- Ability to operate necessary tools and equipment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to bend, kneel, reach, push and pull while performing job tasks. Must be able to lift 75lbs or greater.
Hazards: May include, but may not be limited to, burns, cuts, slipping, tripping, injury incurred through performance of physical labor. Also may include chemicals.
