General Description
The Facilities & Maintenance Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the F&M Manager with the overall operations of the outside maintenance crew. The F&M Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and neatness with achieving, maintaining and overseeing all aspects of F&M department, job duties/tasks, and ensuring the of inventory of supplies and others department needs
Work Schedule
- Required to work various shifts (Day shift, Evening shift, Overnight).
- Request to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval.
- May occasionally work overtime when needed and approved.
- May be required to work at the other Lucky Star casino facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure overall cleanliness and upkeep of all exterior and interior (casinos facilities, administration building, and property grounds).
- Ensure the overall daily and weekly duties, tasks and projects for facilities
- Maintain inventory control F&M maintenance supplies, tools and electrical/mechanical equipment as needed.
- Maintain supplies, tools and equipment orders as needed with proper approval.
- Grounds keeping/landscaping ensuring the daily duties of all landscaping duties.
- Maintain up-keep and installs of any and all building(s), offices, parking lot, etc.
- Ensure preventive maintenance of any mechanical equipment and is maintained and ready for use.
- Ensure staff operates tools/equipment and use of chemicals in a safe manner.
- Assist with the scheduling and approval of all facilities & maintenance staff according to business.
- Ensure F&M staff receives training & operates in accordance to Maintenance Department Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure the communication with all department managers/supervisors, through all communications.
- Assist with completing performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and coaching/training as necessary to F&M staff.
- Process all orders through purchase requisition request process
- Must exhibit STAR treatment to all customers and employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Job Requirements
- Stand continuously with some sitting and perform job functions for a full shift with lunch break.
- Work in extreme hot/cold elements.
- Requires bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, lifting and pulling.
- Move objects up to and exceeding 25lbs. with reasonable accommodations.
- Exposure to solvents, pesticides and herbicides.
- Exposure to gasses and fumes.
- Exposure to environmental allergens such as grass, weeds and pollens.
- Contact with oil and petroleum products.
Qualification Standards
- Must pass pre-employment drug test.
- Must maintain valid Cheyenne and Arapaho Gaming License/permit.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Requires a valid driver’s license
