General Description
The Assistant Security Manager will be responsible for assisting the Security Manager in administering security department policies, programs, and practices: including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, training and direction for all casinos.
Work Schedule:
- Requires morning, afternoons, evenings and nights. Monday through Sunday.
- Request to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval by Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist security manager in structure of security department to provide for sound and efficient operation.
- Oversees all staff management aspects to include hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, evaluation, disciplining and dismissal of security employees
- Supportive to staff and assists in daily operation of security departments.
- Creates and maintains a professional and positive working environment for all employees reinforcing STAR treatment among all employees.
- Ensures continued improvement in customer service and satisfaction throughout the casino to provide STAR treatment to our guests.
- Investigate employee/customer incidents. Reports to security manager.
- Maintains customer ban information.
- Represents casino in a courteous and professional manner while interacting with customers, vendors and employees.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Physical Job Requirements:
- Sit and/or stand continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with lunch break.
- Requires bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, lifting and pulling.
- Move objects up to and exceeding 25lbs. with reasonable accommodations.
- Gaming floor environment with some office environment.
Qualification Standards:
- Must pass pre-employment drug test.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid Cheyenne and Arapaho Gaming License.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
- Minimum high school education (prefer some college education).
- Minimum 3 years past experience in security related field.
- Good working knowledge of security equipment.
- Able to communicate well with people oral and written.
- Good understating of management practices and internal controls.
- CLEET Certification preferred.
- Computer literate.
Authority and Supervision Capacity:
- To supervise all security personnel to ensure that the facility is adequately secured.
- To review all disciplinary actions to employees.
- To approve or disapprove any employee request for vacation, sick leave, or leave of absence.
- To ensure all employees are being treated equally.
Salary: Negotiable
